Dr. Bryan Babcock, a distinguished scholar, holds a PhD in Ancient Near Eastern History, Languages, and Religion from the University of Bristol. His research delves into the intricacies of how we experience and interpret sacred spaces. Among his recent publications are the acclaimed works Sacred Space, Trajectories, and A Praying People.
In addition to his academic pursuits, Dr. Babcock actively responds to international disasters with Water Mission and Samaritan's Purse. Babcock also serves as the Viking Resident Historian for Viking Ocean Cruises, embodying his motto, "just say yes." He is also a licensed commercial pilot and a dedicated world explorer with an insatiable appetite for learning.
His impressive educational credentials include an MA in Old Testament from Denver Seminary, a ThM in Old Testament Theology from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School (where he was a DA Carson Research Fellow), an MBA/MA in Healthcare Administration from Trinity University, and a BA in Zoology from The University of Texas at Austin.
Over the years, Bryan has successfully founded several businesses, including Handsome Brook Farm, a pasture-raised egg company that became the largest organic pasture-raised brand in the nation. He has also launched one of the first day-trading companies in the USA, donut shops, an agri-tourism bed and breakfast, a publishing company, a private hedge fund, and an aviation supply company.
Bryan divides his time among homes in Antigua and near his granddaughters and daughter in Raleigh, NC, where he continues to thrive on new adventures and challenges.
